The Nuts and Bolts of Joining our CSA
Each week during the growing season you will come to our farm to collect your share. It is understood that you will come at the specified pick up time, unless you make arrangements prior to the day of pick-up. Please understand that during the growing season we are often away from our phones and computer. We would like 24 hours notice to reschedule your pick-up. Sometimes life happens and you might not be able to collect your share. We understand this and allow a “grace” slip once per season. After 24 hours post pick-up, your share will no longer be available. If you would like to designate another person to come to the pick-up in your place, please leave us a message with the name of this person 24 hours in advance.
The first regularly scheduled pick-up of the season typically begins the first Monday following the July 4th holiday. From this day, we will be growing and distributing weekly for the next 12-16 week, based on the first killing frost. Each week there will be an opportunity to purchase staple items and select nationally grown organics from our farm store in addition to picking up your pre-packaged share. Distribution hours will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Please know that with how demanding the growing season can be for farmers, we will be on site during the CSA pick-up, but may not always be available. We will have a person available for questions, to offer suggestions on food preparation, and give small-scale tours to visitors. If you have a special concern, request, or need for us to address, please call ahead to schedule an appointment to meet with us. It is our primary goal to create a real, satisfying and thoughtful relationship with our members.
